Tor is free software and an open network that helps anyone with basic internet use knowledge defend against traffic analysis, a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy.

Tor is not 100% full proof, if an entity controls all the exit nodes, they can still profile your traffic.

Tor is great, but it’s far from perfect. Don’t assume just because you are using Tor that you’re perfectly anonymous. NSA could assess if you are a Tor user and that makes them more likely to target you. With a enough work, the any government can figure out who you are.

Tor allows you to generate New Identity or New Tor Circuit for this Site handy, but if for example you have an unique window size the website could figure out who you are, at least that is the same entity visiting the website.
